NEW Info and Aug 2018 update!

Hi guys,
It's been a while since last updating on DeviantArt so wanted to catch you guys up on my life and some art progress.
COMMISSION INFO:
So commissions now start anywhere between $30-45+ USD for a full-body trainer (Paypal upfront). Pokemon and extra characters/goodies will add onto the final price. You can reach me at Silentkai08@gmail.com or send me a note!
Commissions typically take 2-3 weeks.
They make a excellent gift for a loved one (which has been the bulk of my recent commissions). I do have a small stash of completed pieces which I will post over the next few weeks.
Professional Life:
I had the pleasure of working at Warner Brothers Animation for a small stint as a 2D Animator. I also finished a indie short film, "For Keeps" which I animated some traditional animation alongside some live-action footage. It is making the film festival circuit, atm.
I also finished illustrating a children's book, "She Gave Me The Sky". A cute poem about a mother and son to honor the author's mother who has passed on. Check it out here: shegavemethesky.com/

Personal Life:
I've been hitting the gym a lot to improve on my hobby, Dodgeball! Been watching a lot of anime, chugging coffee, and trying out new food whenever I can. I am trying to put myself out there more and make friends.
Been considering grad school to open up new animation opportunities, but worried about how expensive it (UCLA or USC) is.
Feel free to chime in on the comments and let me know what you guys have been up to!

UPDATED Commission Page

So a lot of great things have sprouted from taking on commissions over the last 1 1/2 years. I've done nearly 150 commissions, and am happy with the progression in my art and opportunities. Also, have been connecting with a few talented artists which has been very inspiring. I'm currently applying as a Storyboard Revisions at the nearby animation studios here in Burbank. Wish me luck!

So, I'm happy to announce that I'll start doing commissions. If you are interested in getting a profile picture, or just have something weird in mind, or just want a sketch my talent is at your service. Please, private message me to request!

Extra characters are $5 for lineart and $7 for cellshade.
Simple Backgrounds are also $5 for lineart/cellshade.
Complex Backgrounds are $10 (lineart/cell).

Hey everyone! This is Jesse and I've been away for quiet some time at art school. My 3rd awesomely awesome year at CalARTs is coming to an end and I'm currently working on my own short animated film. I'll be posting up some new artwork soon, hoping it spreads the same inspiration that I get from looking at everyone's art from time to time. Cheers to good times!

Hitherto Aforementioned Tomfoolery

No, I'm afraid that this is not Jesse. This is his good and wonderful and awfully lovely girlfriend, Sam, who has officially coaxed him out of his deviant art password. Jesse has been far too busy as of late doing terrifically mundane things such as "studing" and "doing homework".
It's rather dull.
So I've taken the helm--with permission, too--to see if I may fulfull my life's mission.
To bother him.
He's attending a drab little community college this year to get all of those pesky 'critical studies' credits outta the way before heading back to CalArts for his THIRD YEAR. (He's old)
Every few months he heads down to Miami in a big old aeroplane to visit me and stays here until he escapes. He makes fantastic company, but is terribly bad at arm wrestling and chess. And he can't take punches very well, I should mention that. (He's really good at doing things like saving my butt when I'm about to smash into a tree while being stupid, though...)
However, don't eat muffins in front of him, or else he'll make fun of you. Relentlessly.
Also, he likes cars. He's thinking about splitting off from CalArts to study...car design at Art Center (he's even looking into how to prepare a portfolio), but he wants to stay at CalArts (I don't get it either). Animation is his life's calling, he claims, a statement to which I really have no snide comment.
He IS an exceptionally nice person, though, going out of his way to help people in whatever fashion he can figure. He may not be the most brilliant or most handsome or most skilled, but a better person you'll be hard-pressed to find.
He's the perfect guy to bother if you're in such a mood; if he can't cheer you up with his advice, then he'll do something cute like try to pick you up and spin you 'round and...well, laughter's just as good a remedy as any XD
And he's amazingly good at doing chores, both mine AND his.
